Easy Homemade Soft Pretzels

Description This is one of the easiest ways to prepare homemade soft pretzels and the results are extra delicious! The dough is a family recipe and only needs to rest for 10 minutes before shaping. The quick baking soda boil gives the pretzels their traditional flavor. Make sure you watch the video in the blog post for how to shape pretzels! Ingredients 1 cup coconut cream (kakang gata) 3 cups coconut milk 2 cups glutinous rice 1 1/2 cups water 1 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt Instructions In a pan over medium heat, add the coconut cream and bring to a boil. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until liquid starts to thicken.  Lower heat and simmer. As oil starts to separate and solids begin to form, regularly stir and scrape sides and bottom of the pan to prevent from burning. Continue to cook and stir until curds turn golden brown. Using a fine-mesh sieve or colander, drain latik. Reserve oil. Grease bottom and sides of a 5 x 8-inch baking dish with coconut oil. Set aside. How To Make Homemade Banana Bread  INGREDIENTS  🔹1 cup mashed banana (3 – 4) 🔹1 1/2 cups white sugar 🔹2 eggs 🔹1 teaspoon baking soda 🔹1/2 cup shortening 🔹1 teaspoon baking powder 🔹1 teaspoon vanilla 🔹2 cups flour 🔹1/2 cup sour cream 🔹1/4 cup milk 🔹1/2 teaspoon salt DIRECTIONS 1. Cream shortening and add sugar gradually, mix in eggs and banana. 2. In a separate bowl sift the dry ingredients together and add them to the creamed mixture. 3. Then add the milk, sour cream and vanilla& mix till combined. 4. Grease 1 bundt pan or 2 bread pans, pour in batter and bake for 1 hour (or until done) at 350°F. Enjoy.

Beef and Cheese Chimichanga

This dish is one of my personal favorites. It takes a little time and effort, but it is worth it. If you like Mexican food this is a must try! -Made this for a freezer meal. Modified just a bit with my homemade salsa and added rice. Froze it in 6 serving portions. Thawed, wrapped, and fried when we were ready to eat. Excellent and saved us lots of time after work for a great meal! EASY TROPICAL FRUIT SALAD RECIPE

Ingredients 1 pineapple (cut into bite sized chunks) 1 pound strawberries (quartered) 1/2 canteloupe 5 kiwis (sliced) 6 mandarin oranges (peeled and separated) 2 limes 2 lemons 1/4 cup honey Instructions  Chop up each fruit individually. I really like my pineapple slicer. Watch my Facebook video where I show you how easy it is to make. Combine the fruit in a large glass bowl. Pour honey into a small glass bowl. Squeeze the two limes and lemons into the bowl and mix well. Pour the honey lime glaze over the fresh fruit and toss to combine. Place in the fridge until ready to serve.

CREAMY LEMON SQUARES

Ingredients  FOR THE CRUST 4 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled, plus more for pan 1-1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs 1/4 cup sugar FOR THE FILLING 2 large egg yolks 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (3 lemons) How to make it : ⇆ How to make it : Preheat oven to 350F / 180C degrees. Brush a square baking dish with melted butter. Crush graham crackers Then add in sugar and butter and blend to mix. Press mixture into bottom of prepared pan. Bake until lightly browned, 8 to 12 minutes. Cool crust, 30 minutes. TO MAKE THE FILLING In a large bowl, whisk together egg yolks and condensed milk. Add lemon juice; whisk until smooth. Pour filling into cooled crust; carefully spread to edges. Bake until set, about 15 minutes. Cool in pan on rack. Chill at least 1 hour before serving. Serve with whipped cream.

Ingredients  400 gr minced beef, eight fresh sausages, olive oil, three onions, a glass of sherry wine, half a teaspoon ground cinnamon, black pepper, 3 tablespoons ketchup, salt, one egg, 80 gr breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Instructions  Preheat the oven to 180º. Peel the onions, chop them and put them to poach in a frying pan with oil. We let it brown a little, taking care not to burn and add the sherry, allowing it to reduce. Remove from the heat, transfer to a bowl and add the minced meat and the contents of the sausages, soy sauces, Worcestershire and ketchup, pepper, salt, breadcrumbs, and egg and stir until well mixed. We take an elongated baking pan and grease it with oil. We distribute the mixture by pressing it to make it compact and bake for 40 minutes. Take out of the oven and let stand for an hour; cut into pieces and serve warm.

INGREDIENTS: 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 cup sugar 4 Tablespoons butter or margarine, at room temperature 5 slices crust-on white bread 1/2 cup raisins 2 cups milk 2 eggs DIRECTIONS: ⇆ DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F / 180 C Add cinnamon to sugar in cup and mix well. Set aside. Generously spread one side of each piece of bread with butter or margarine. Cutting diagonally, slice each in half. Arrange triangle slices in pan, slightly overlapping, with butter-side up and cut edges facing the same direction, making a spiral. As you add the bread, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and raisins. Put milk in small bowl, add eggs, and using whisk or fork, mix to blend well. Pour milk mixture over bread and raisins in baking pan. Set aside for about 15 minutes for bread to absorb liquid. Bake in oven for about 30 minutes, or until top is golden brown. Serve the pudding while still warm in individual dessert bowls. It is eaten plain or with cream poured over it.

If you love cheesecake and pineapple upside down cake then this is a no brainer! It began with my favorite cheesecake…the one from the famous restaurant Juniors! I let the cheesecake chill completely. I even made it two days before serving because it holds up that well! Then I prepared my pineapple upside down cake. I let it cool at room temp and then transferred it directly on top of the cheesecake! Perfect fit. I chilled that overnight and served straight from the fridge. Perfection. You’ll need just one banana and a few easy components listed below, which I recommend prepping a day in advance: PREP THE COMPONENTS (A DAY IN ADVANCE) For the wafers and cake, prep a half batch of the Homemade Lady Finger recipe from the Kitchen McCabe. Pour 2/3 cup of batter each into two 4″ round cake pans, prepped with butter and flour. Pour the remaining batter into a piping bag fitted with a 1/2″ round tip. Pipe half-dollar size rounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment or a silpat. Using a fine mesh sieve, sprinkle confectioners sugar over wafers, only, not cake batter. In a 400 degree oven, bake cakes for about 15 minutes, until just cooked through, and wafers for about 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden brown; once cooled, store wafers and cakes in ziplocks or airtight container overnight.
