I learned to make this skillet from a friend of mine, but he told me that he has inspired it from his Mexican neighbor recipe who calls it Conchitas. Ingredients: 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed 1 lb spaghetti noodles (more or less, depending on family size) 6 -8 garlic cloves, according to personal taste, minced 1/4 cup butter olive oil (3 drizzles) italian seasoning fresh ground pepper red pepper flakes salt herbs (according to taste) Directions: Boil pasta in water till tender, save 1 cup of pasta water for use later. I always put some oil, salt, and fresh herbs in with my pasta when I boil it. Drain and set aside when done. While pasta is boiling, wash shrimp. Melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp. Let cook till a little pink and starting to curl. Then add garlic. Cook 5-7 min., add oil. Continue to stir till shrimp is pink and curled. Add pasta to skillet. Add seasonings. Ingredients : 1 box Nilla wafers (12 oz box) 2 ½ cups sugar 6 cups whole milk 6 sliced bananas 1 cup self-rising flour 6 eggs, separated 1 teaspoon real vanilla Directions : Preheat oven to 350° Crumble enough wafers to cover the bottom of a 9″ x 13″ glass dish and set aside remaining wafers to use for decoration after it’s done. Combine all dry ingredients (except for ½ cup of sugar to use later for meringue) in a large pot. Then, in a different bowl, combine all wet ingredients (to include the 6 egg yolks only and set aside egg whites for meringue). Slowly add wet into dry mixture and stir until completely dissolved and cook over low heat until thickened to pudding consistency. The trick is to stir continuously and not to get too hot so you don’t burn the pudding. Once ready, remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. We have a local Polish store where they make their own sausages, smoke their meat themselves and have the most incredible multigrain bread. That’s where I stocked up on the sausage for this dinner. I also added bell pepper, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and herbs. After testing out this recipe a few times, I am finally posting it for all of you. It’s the perfect dinner with lots of hearty autumn flavors. Ingredients : 3 1/2 pound(s) chicken 1/4 cup(s) Grace White Vinegar 3 stalk(s) escallion, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 4 clove(s) garlic, chopped 1 teaspoon(s) black pepper 1 teaspoon(s) scotch bonnet pepper, chopped 4 tablespoon(s) curry powder 3 tablespoon(s) Grace Vegetable Oil 1 teaspoon(s) ginger, grated 3 1/2 cup(s) water 2 teaspoon(s) cornstarch Directions : ⇆ Directions : Cut chicken into bite-size pieces and wash in a mixture of Grace White Vinegar and water. Season chicken with chopped escallion, onion, garlic, black pepper, chopped scotch bonnet pepper and 2 Tbsps. curry powder. Cover and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for about 1 hour or overnight. Heat Grace Vegetable Oil in a heavy skillet, add remaining curry powder and the grated ginger and allow to “burn” for about 2 minutes. Ingredients : 1lb. ground beef 1 egg 1/3 cup bread crumbs 1/2tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1 clove garlic minced 1tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1tbsp. oil 1 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion 2tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 cup beef broth 1/2tsp. salt Directions : ⇆ Directions : In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into thick patties. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties and onion in the oil until patties are nicely browned. Remove the beef patties to a plate, and keep warm. Sprinkle flour over the onions and drippings in the skillet. Stir in flour with a fork, scraping bits of beef off of the bottom as you stir. Gradually mix in the beef broth. Season with seasoned salt. Simmer and stir over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, until the gravy thickens. Turn heat to low, return patties to the gravy, cover, and simmer for another 15 minutes.
